Dedicated and accomplished Emergency Management Leader with a track record of orchestrating effective multi-agency collaborations, conducting advanced research, and fostering international partnerships. Armed with a Master’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from Georgetown University and a GPA of 4.0, my academic foundation aligns seamlessly with any role’s strategic and operational needs.
My career journey has honed my abilities to excel under pressure, make decisive and positive decisions during emergencies, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels. As an Emergency Manager and Veterans Advocate for non-profits in New Orleans, I prepare and execute projects that help the most vulnerable populations in the worst times of their life. Our community works together to solve our most challenging times.
I served as an AmeriCorps Member for Rebuilding Together New Orleans. Serving my country has always been important to me, and I was proud to work with a great organization that works to fix homes damaged by natural disasters. With the increasing risk of natural disasters caused by climate change, RTNO’s work is more important than ever.
Moreover, my role as a Community Resilience Coordinator and Peace Corps Volunteer serving in Tanzania highlights my talent in designing programs that promote stakeholder engagement, holistic risk assessment, and community well-being. I have managed projects and contributed to strategic planning, demonstrating my dynamic approach to emergency management. Language and cultural differences will never stop me from performing my duties. I will constantly adapt to the needs of the community and overcome any challenges presented.
My time serving as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne taught me how to make decisions in challenging times when you might not have all the information. This complex skill is hard to quantify, but when you have to make a decision, it is imperative to make decisions that further the project’s goals.
Technical expertise in geospatial analysis (GIS), crisis communication, and cross-cultural collaboration enriches my profile, ensuring I bring a comprehensive skill set to any challenge. My commitment to enhancing community resilience could improve any organization’s effectiveness at any phase of a disaster. Above all, I am dedicated to ensuring a safe and healthy work environment that is inclusive to all.
I am excited by the opportunity to leverage my expertise as an Emergency Manager to any organization that could use it. As someone who thrives in high-pressure situations, values stakeholder collaboration, and is deeply committed to a community’s well-being, my contribution can boost any Emergency Management team.
